Parent University

Galesburg CUSD #205 is offering optional Parent University classes for parents and guardians to gain a better understanding of E-Learning.

"Galesburg District #205 continues to look for ways to provide our parents and guardians with the necessary resources and support as we begin our E-Learning this fall.  An exciting, upcoming opportunity for parents and guardians is happening just next week with our first ever District Parent University offering.  We are hopeful that this additional opportunity will assist our parents and guardians with technology platforms and tools that we will use while E-Learning this fall," according to Tiffany Springer, Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to sign up for a day and time, and then select a location within the community to attend the class. The sign up form can be accessed  by clicking here.

The District would like to thank all the local businesses who have allowed use of their space for Parent University classes.  The site locations include Bethel Baptist Church, First Church of Nazarene, Holiday Inn Express, Knox County Housing Authority at Cedar Creek, Masters Educational Services and Silas Willard Elementary.

The district also has provided free tutorials and resources for parents on the newly developed Parent Tech Help site. Please click here for the site.
