Over the weekend, the GHS Music Department had five students who were selected to perform as part of the Illinois Music Education Association, All-State Music Conference.
The conference took place from January 24th - 27th at the Peoria Civic Center and included rehearsals, which took place all day leading up to their final concerts.
According to Fine Arts Coordinator, Andy Empey, "This is a huge honor to be chosen as one of the best musicians in the state of Illinois. We are very proud of these students for their hard work and dedication to music. They represented Galesburg and CUSD #205 very well!"
